I am sitting here having an Epernay Illusione and it occured to me that this thing is just sitting here. And that I haven’t done anything.
I have completely forgotten my cigars, my people.
I am TOO ACHIEVEMENT oriented.
I came in here and started talking to Jim. He owns Habana House, where I’ve been sitting. And I’ve been super stressed out. So I just thought I’d come in and just YAK. Because I’ll blog more that way, and be more conversational. And that’s better, isn’t it.
Because sometimes you just want to smoke a damn cigar.
I will probably come back and analyze this a little more later. Perhaps I won’t.
I am sucking down this cigar like a thirsty woman who has just seen a mirage.
So here is my list for today. My cigar list:
1. If you haven’t smoked anything for weeks and weeks but the infrequent to occasional cigarette, the Illusione is for you.
2. This cigar is very mellow and the taste is subtle and non offensive. But I can tell if I take things up again I am going to need something with a little more punch. This is a good appetizer before the big steak.
3. The taste sits in your tongue, in the middle, like one of those nice expensive candies that you steal from the nicer chocolates that you get at your grandparent’s house around holiday time that you then have to go to the legend on the top of the box
4. I’m out in PUBLIC, and I’m remembering that my cigar shop feels very SAFE.
5. I’m remembering that I planned my re-entry into live music from here, and that this is where my husband and I met our roommate that we share a house with, and most of our current friends.
5. This cigar is staying lit, even though I have put it down several times to tweet and type. The ash is also pretty.
6. I’m wearing a pretty dress, and the cigar punch I used to get this thing started sucked. Miraculously, things are still working out. The cap held up and I didn’t think it was gonna.
I still should have used the other punch though.
Oh yeah. We are having an LFD event here tomorrow. Jim doesn’t know how many people are going to show because there’s no RSVP. I think I’m going to go. 5PM. Hmmmm.
Because the cigar culture is dominated by men perhaps thats why it’s so interesting when you encounter a women smoker. Been looking for good art with a cigar theme but haven’t had much luck. Actually it is out the frustration of looking for good art that that I decided to create the art I wanted to see. My website ” http://www.artcigar.com ” is new and there is only a few pieces on it but that will change in the months to come.
